Labor reduced from 8 workers to 3 per shift; packaging speed tripled

ZHENGZHOU, China – October 2026 – Zhengzhou Yishang Machinery Co., Ltd. has completed delivery of a Thermoplastic Road Marking Paint Production Line equipped with a PLC automatic batching and weighing system and an automatic bag palletizer for a customer in Malaysia.

The line produces white and yellow thermoplastic paint meeting BS EN 1436 standards. It represents one of the most automated thermoplastic paint production configurations in the region.The customer’s main concern was labor,Manual batching requires skilled operators. Manual palletizing causes injuries. We solved both with PLC batching and a robotic palletizer. The line now runs with 2-3 operators instead of 8-10.

What the Customer Gained

Before installation, the customer’s existing process required 8-10 workers per shift. Packaging ran at 10-15 bags per minute. Pallets were stacked by hand. Daily output was 8-10 tons.

After commissioning, the PLC batching system handles all weighing and dosing automatically. The twin-auto packer fills bags at 30-40 per minute. The 6-axis robot stacks pallets at 15-20 bags per minute. Daily output reached 20-25 tons on an 8-hour shift. Operators per shift dropped to 2-3.-

Technical Configuration

The PLC batching system weighs resin, TiO₂, chrome yellow, glass beads, and calcium carbonate independently. Pigment and additive accuracy: ±0.5%. Filler accuracy: ±1%. Recipes are stored in the HMI touchscreen. Switching from white to yellow requires recipe selection only – no mechanical changes.

The heating mixer operates at 150-220°C. The cooling conveyor and two-stage crusher deliver 0-4mm powder. The twin-auto packer fills 25kg valve bags with ±0.2kg accuracy. The robot palletizer handles payloads up to 50kg and stacks to 1800mm height.

Pulse jet dust collectors at all transfer points meet environmental standards. The line is fully enclosed from raw material intake to finished pallet.

Turnkey Delivery

Yishang supplied the complete system: plant layout design, all equipment from silos to palletizer, on-site installation and commissioning by Yishang engineers, operator training, and basic white and yellow formulations. The customer received a production line ready to run, not a collection of parts.

Follow-Up Interest

Following this project, Yishang has received inquiries from Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines for similar configurations combining PLC batching with automatic palletizing.
